Role Description

This role is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast paced environment within Digital Trading and specifically the Digital Trading Unit. The Digital Trading Unit is responsible for QuoteSME, our interactions with Software Houses and ensuring our system solutions align with the Digital Trading values of digital first and easy to do business with.

As a Senior Digital Trading Analyst, you will be a senior contact in the team. You will oversee our Defects Pipeline and be the senior escalation point for system issues and outages.

Your role will also include identifying opportunities to improve our products, implementing solutions to expand users knowledge of our systems and identifying opportunities to remove unnecessary processes

You will work closely with the rest of the Digital Trading team in Maidstone, Lancaster & Guildford to identify, understand and solve complex problems. This role can be based from any of the following offices on a hybrid approach (1-2 days a week in the office): Maidstone, Lancaster or Guildford.

Key Responsibilities

  • Senior escalation point for system issues, outages, major incidents and technical queries
  • Responsible for identifying and solving complex problems across a wide-scale business landscape, including stakeholder management and relevant analysis/investigation into root cause and solutions
  • Subject matter expert in digital trading and digital platforms
  • Working alongside software houses & suppliers such as Acturis, Polaris etc.
  • Co-ordinating business incidents where appropriate and conducting relevant root cause analysis/investigation and solutions/fixes post incident

About You

Skills & Experience

  • Commercial insurance experience ideal
  • Acturis Platform knowledge preferred but not essential
  • Good problem solver
  • Positive outlook with focus on being a team player
  • Well presented and reliable
  • Able to take instructions and work on own initiative
  • Excellent organisation skills and able to work well under pressure
  • Self-motivated
  • Good listener and able to build a rapport with suppliers & colleagues
  • Confident communicator with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work on multiple priorities simultaneously
