West Midlands Fire Service (WMFS) is the 2nd largest fire & rescue service in the country, delivering Prevention, Protection and Response services across the West Midlands.

As a result of a restructure of the Prevention Team, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Prevention Bookings Team.

Contributing to our vision to ‘Make the West Midlands Safer, Stronger and Healthier’, our new Prevention Bookings Team play an important part in the delivery of Prevention activities and education aimed at reducing risk and vulnerability to fire and other emergencies which WMFS attends.

Working under the direction of the Bookings Team Supervisor we are looking for an individual who can work to tight deadlines to process and progress referrals received for Prevention activities and education to an excellent standard.

Key to the delivery of an excellent service will be previous experience of working in a Call Centre environment, and administration, interpersonal and communication skills to be able to communicate with internal and external customers.  As a member of the Prevention Bookings Team, the ideal candidate will have a positive and flexible approach to working in a busy team environment.

The position offers the successful candidate the opportunity to have a key role in, and contribute to, the development of new systems and processes to support the future direction of Prevention activities and education.

Computer literate you will have experience of using a variety of software packages including O365, Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and be able to make best use of available technology.
