Role Description

This is an exciting opportunity to support the Head of Property & Workspace Services, to manage, lead and co-ordinate our UK response to protective security across Allianz Holdings UK, which comprises FCA regulated offices across the country.

This role comes under our hybrid working model so travel to our Guildford office will be required as necessary.

Working within the Protection and Resilience framework, this role will work across the organisation, including Risk, HR, Health & Safety and Governance, to deliver the activities of protective security within this framework, including business operations (IT and non-IT), personnel and protective assets, processes, controls and monitoring.

Reporting into the Head of Property and Workspace Services, this role will also be involved in the following:

  • Acting as an SME (Subject Matter Expert) for Protective Security and use existing knowledge and contacts to ensure that Allianz UK delivers the requirements of the Protective security functional rule
  • Being responsible for all reporting (including developing reporting tools such as dashboards) associated with Protective Security within the UK and at Group level on status of each aspect of Protective security
  • Enforcing implementation and operation of controls and process requirements
  • Acting as a single point of contact on Protective Security audits, completing the self-assessments, participating in reviews and providing documentation
  • Interfacing with, and acting, as a key contact for other parts of the risk management community including Business Continuity Management, Crisis Management, Global Incident Management, Information Security etc.
  • Supporting on the leading, managing and delivering of all activities required to meet the requirements of our Group’s functional rule for Protective Security
  • Handling incidents related to the domain of Protective Security
  • Attending various meetings organised by Allianz and representing Protective Security activities as and when required.

 

About You

To be a success in this role, you will have previous experience of protective security regulations and frameworks for a large, multisite corporate business as well as the following:

Essential:

  • 5 years’ experience working in a corporate security environment
  • Understanding, or willingness to learn, about the security related regulatory standards and frameworks across IT and HR
  • Knowledge and understanding of all aspects of security functions within corporate organisations and comfortable dealing with other risk management SMEs (Financial services preferable, but not essential)
  • Experience in how to perform threat assessments (eg. physical assets, events security, executive protection etc.) and a good understanding of corporate risk/risk management
  • An understanding of best practice in all aspects of protective security and raising awareness across business functions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including matrix management and organisation of wider collaboration
  • Strength in organisation and planning to ensure that deadlines and business objectives are met within fast paced environments
  • IT literacy, comfortable using Microsoft Office.

 

Desirable:

  • Experience of security functions within a regulated corporate organisation
  • Membership of a professional security body i.e. Security Institute, ASIS, etc.
  • Project management experience
  • Driving licence.
