We’re looking for a Head of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) to lead our growing EDI Team and drive forward our ambitious inclusion agenda across both our workforce and services.
This is a senior leadership role with a genuine opportunity to influence strategy, shape organisational culture and deliver measurable improvements for colleagues, service users and communities.
About the role
As Head of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, you will provide strategic leadership for the Trust’s EDI agenda, ensuring equality, diversity, inclusion and belonging are embedded throughout the organisation.
Working alongside senior leaders, staff networks, service users, carers and external partners, you will help translate ambition into action and ensure diverse perspectives inform the decisions we make.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the development and delivery of the Trust’s EDI strategy and objectives.
- Driving measurable improvements in equality outcomes across the workforce and services.
- Providing expert advice and challenge to leaders at all levels.
- Building effective partnerships to advance inclusion and reduce inequalities.
- Using evidence, insight and lived experience to inform priorities and decision-making.
- Promoting innovation and best practice across all aspects of EDI.
About you
We’re looking for an experienced leader with a strong track record of delivering equality, diversity and inclusion outcomes.
You will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience leading EDI programmes, initiatives or organisational change.
- Strong knowledge of equality legislation, policy and best practice.
- The ability to influence, challenge and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience of developing and implementing strategy and translating it into practical action.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- The credibility to drive improvement and secure organisational commitment.
- A clear understanding of the barriers experienced by under-represented and marginalised groups.
