Salary range:  upto £43957 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Full time/part time:  Full-Time, 37. 5 hours per week, participate in the out of hours (including nights) and weekend rotas.

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and ambitious Senior 2 Radiographer to work on rotation between the CT and General X-ray departments carrying out CT scans and general X-rays on a daily basis, depending on where the individual has been rostered to. Therefore, a flexible and adaptive working attitude is crucial, along with a willingness to participate in the out of hours (including nights) and weekend rotas. 

The CT Department is currently comprised of one Siemens Somatom Force CT scanner and is a very busy and challenging place to work. A variety of CT examinations including full body imaging, neurological, cardiac and biopsy procedures are undertaken, as well as some specialist orthopaedic imaging.

The X-ray department has two general X-ray rooms, an OPG machine, one fluoroscopy room, one DEXA scanner and one mammography machine. There is also a need to provide imaging external to the main department, namely in Theatres, Theatre Recovery and ITU.

You’ll help us make health happen by:

You will be responsible for performing a wide range of radiographic procedures including X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, C-Arm, Bone Density and CT to a high standard.

You’ll maintain a high standard of imaging and patient care in accordance with the departmental and hospital quality standards, and ensure every exposure is justified and the protocol is matched to the clinical indications for the procedure.

You’ll work with high efficiency and accurately to maintain a high standard of radiography and to keep patient waiting time to a minimum in order to comply with standards of quality.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

  • BSc or DCR in Radiography ( essential)

  • State registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) (essential)

  • Extensive CT experience ( essential)

  • DEXA, CT, Mammography ,PACS chion training (desirable)

  • Post- graduate experience in a Senior II / Band 5 Radiographer post (essential)
