We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Performance Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the way we understand and utilise DVLA data. By providing robust data sources, insightful analysis, and comprehensive reports, you will empower data-driven decision-making and enhance DVLA’s business services and processes.
You will take the lead in building and maintaining databases that enable the segmentation and analysis of customer data by type, behaviours, and trends. By incorporating social, demographic, and geographical insights, you will deepen our understanding of key customer attributes. Your work will facilitate the development of evidence-based strategies that improve operational efficiency and customer experiences.
Provide robust data sources and analysis, including reports, using DVLA data segmented by customer type, behaviours and trends. Build databases and data sources that help identify further attributes of trends, including social, demographic and geographical analysis of key segments. Provide robust, statistically valid evidence to support decision-making and the improvement of DVLA’s business services and processes. Support Customer Insight in identifying key customer types and segments to inform customer research and support DVLA’s operational areas through the delivery of bespoke reports and dashboards. This role is undertaken in a people focussed environment that champions recognition, involvement, development and support for all, and is performed in line with Civil Service values.

- Interpret, understand and gather business requirements to source relevant datasets from internal and external data holders.
- Analyse raw data extracted from DVLA systems, or build databases, to identify trends and provide robust evidence for development and decision-making.
- Deliver accurate and timely reports using relevant tools and software.
- Engage with stakeholders on the specification of agreed projects.

About You
To be successful in this role you will need to have the following experience:
- Proficient in Excel and Power BI, with a track record of producing high-quality, accurate reports and insightful analysis.
- Experience organising and prioritising tasks effectively to consistently meet deadlines.
- Experience engaging with diverse stakeholders, including effectively conveying technical information to non-technical audiences.
