The role

As the Commercial Manager here at TalkTalk, you’ll be at the centre of our transformation pivoting to full-fibre connectivity, where it’ll be your responsibility to collaborate with key stakeholders across the Sales, Finance and Product functions to lead on the definition, design and timing of activity that constitute TTWS commercial strategy whilst ensuring it is always optimised to deliver the businesses commitments and ambitions.

Day-to-day activity for the role will include leading on the Commercial Go to Market requirements capture, governance and successful launch of Go to Market activity, Commercial strategy project governance and analysis, through to the Bid Management ownership and co-ordination.

Your responsibilities

  • You’ll support key elements of the Commercial strategy, coordination, and delivery ,  whilst supporting and governing all Go to Market activity and furthermore, Bid Management activity to ensure our bid submission is the best it can be.
  • Build relationships across Sales, Marketing, Finance and Product functions and the wider TalkTalk Wholesale business unit, you’ll ensure the strategy and its projects are understood and delivered.
  • You’ll proactively be accountable for stakeholder engagement, management and influencing, as well as effective communication across the Commercial and wider teams.
  • Whilst building an understanding of the Telecoms market you’ll constantly monitor and follow changes and opportunities within this and help to identify commercial opportunities from non-standard bids and industry sector RFI/RFP opportunities.

To be successful in the role


  • Proven as Commercial Manager, Delivery Manager, Project Manager, Programme Manager or similar, with strong coordination, delivery and bid management experience.
  • Strong relationship building and management.
  • Ability to deal with multiple priorities and take tasks from beginning to completion.
  • Able to present and influence senior leadership.
  • Display numerical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.


  • Telecommunications.
  • Projects Management experience and/or qualifications.
  • Six Sigma / DMADV qualified.
