Traffic Installation Supervisor

We are currently seeking a Traffic Installation Supervisor to join our Traffic team due to huge growth and demand of our services. The role will involve providing support to the Contract Manager to ensure that the contracts are delivering on time and within budget and liaising with Traffic Installation Technicians and Maintenance Manager to ensure repeat fault rate is kept to a minimum. You will be a hands on supervisor, getting involved with installations and maintenance works of Traffic Signals and equipment, from cabling / cable pulling to working at heights and installing traffic signal heads / traffic lights at various locations.
What you’ll do:
- Provide support to the Contract Manager to ensure that the contracts are delivering on time and within budget.
- Working in close co-operation with customers, a high degree of customer focus is required.
- Carry out Installation / Maintenance work following Company Method Statements and Risk Assessment’s
- Provide technical support to Installation Technicians
- Liaising with administrative staff to ensure fault and periodic maintenance activities are recorded correctly and within the contractual KPIs.
- Liaising with Traffic Installation Technicians and Contract Manager to ensure repeat fault rate is kept to a minimum.
- Working alone and with colleagues to the highest standards in order to maintain signals equipment and to reduce the overall fault rates within our traffic signals maintenance contracts.
- Responsible for carrying out Health and Safety Inspections
- Carry out regular site visits and audits.
- Carry out Installation of Traffic and associated Traffic Signal equipment.
- Carry out maintenance works of Traffic and Traffic Signal equipment.
- Lead Team briefing calls / Toolbox talks as required.
- Carry out call out responsibilities, liaising with out of hours call centre to ensure repair service is maintained 24×7.
Who you are:
You will have previous experience of working as a Field Engineer within the Traffic Signalling / Traffic Installations / Traffic Maintenance disciplines. Electrical knowledge and Traffic Signal knowledge would be advantageous in this role however further training in this area is provided.
Key Requirements:
- PC Literate/IT proficient
- Extensive knowledge traffic signal equipment specifications
- Full Driving Licence
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to act under pressure and provide good customer service.
