HR Business Partner

NATS is the UK’s leading air navigation service provider, handling over 2 million flights each year. In this high-profile role you’ll work closely with Senior Leaders and our Centres of Excellence, and be a main point of contact for driving HR advice, strategic initiatives & people management support in the design and execution of local HR strategy. Directly influencing, advising and supporting Senior Leaders on implementing complex change, you’ll collaborate organisation-wide to embed HR basics, deliver value for money and support increasing inclusivity, to allow us to better meet the diverse needs of our workforce. Responsibilities include:

  • Input into COE HR strategy by explaining business needs and embedding across business areas.
  • Proactively manage ER climate underpinned by HR policy & practice, maintaining good Trade Union relationships, and supporting complex case management.
  • Drive & execute Talent Management practices advising on actions to drive talent outcomes and build wider capability.
  • Support in developing strategic workforce plans, talent pools and other recruitment activity to support talent attraction & succession planning.
  • Work with Reward to support pay and bonus reviews, supporting career family work & job design.
  • Help to build a high-performance culture, supporting leaders with performance conversations & interventions.
  • Support leaders in diagnosing team culture and drive broader engagement activity.​​​This role provides an opportunity to influence at senior levels and make a real contribution to our wider business success, all whilst working as part of a collaborative HR team.

Candidate requirements:

We’re seeking a high-performing HR professional who wants exposure, progression and to make an impact and build an exciting HR career.Ideally, you’ll have a degree in HR/similar and you’ll have been part of an HR Graduate scheme previously. You’ll be confident, influential, and impactful, with passion, ambition, drive and determination and you’ll be hungry to develop yourself into future HR leadership roles. Key requirements include:

  • Demonstrated resilience working in a collaborative, corporate environment, with the ability to problem solve.
  • Exceptional communication skills and influencing ability, at all levels in an organisation.
  • Adept at building rapport and effective working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Previous experience dealing with Senior Leaders and a strategic approach.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work under pressure and manage own workload.
  • ​​​​​​​CIPD qualified is ideal but is not essential.
