We are looking for an experienced Head of Campaigning to lead EON Next and Sainsbury’s Energy through-the-line activities. You’ll be reporting into the Head of Brand and Marketing and manage a team of seven.

Taking charge for the coherence and integration of campaign activity across the full funnel, you’ll be responsible for driving brand metrics such as awareness, consideration and preference and steering perception shifts in line with brand strategy. Comfortable with communications and media planning as well as creative production across a variety of channels ranging from TV, radio, OOH, display, own channels and performance media – you’ll set KPIs and define campaign strategy to support our range of commercial targets. You’ll work closely with the internal performance media and external ATL media agency to optimise web traffic metrics, challenge optimisations for a full-funnel approach and drive campaign and media planning in light of quarterly commercial target setting.

Thanks to your brand expertise, you’ll lead collaboration with a variety of functions ranging from PR, content, CRM, Nectar and Sainsbury’s partners or commercial towards integrated campaigns. You’ll build strong ties to the insights and internal creative functions to develop unique campaign propositions and make the most of media share of voice through differentiation in market and brand consistency. Using your data background, you’ll take the lead in implementing persona-specific plans, define an always-on a/b testing regimen in relevant channels and establish dynamic reporting and optimisations.

You’ll have autonomy in managing the campaign function and take charge of their career progression and performance. You’ll remaining a key resource to provide support in the face of operational blockers and approve campaign briefs and outputs across the board. You’ll be responsible for managing vendors and procurement in handling a multi-milling campaign budget. Your ability to operate in a high-pressure environment and uncertain marketing means you’re able to re-prioritise and handle multiple topics simultaneously.

Here’s a taste of what you’ll be doing

  • Own and manage the planning and implementation of through-the-line campaign across two energy brands in UK

  • Maintain a strong rapport to all functions to understand business priorities and targets at all times

  • Manage stakeholders to align on priorities, strategy and performance.

  • Translate business objectives into trackable campaign KPIs

  • Centralise the campaign calendar and drive prioritisation conversations across the business

  • Oversee campaign team to optimise planning and performance, ensure learnings are shared across the team

  • Work closely with ecommerce, media and data teams to implement campaign journeys and tracking

  • Ensure persona-led campaign targeting and creative is implemented. Develop a strong understanding of our customer needs and profile, identifying relevant insights and research opportunities when those are lacking

  • Develop the campaign teams’ acumen by regularly sharing best practice

  • Drive performance by developing an ongoing A/B testing approach in relevant channels

  • Take ownership of brand metrics and web traffic KPIs

  • Optimise consistency in brand messaging

  • Champion adequate training and tooling for the team

  • Proven experience developing comms strategy

  • Demonstrated through-the-line campaign planning and implementation

  • Experience in driving brand metrics

  • Hands-on and technical experience in all channel operations

  • Demonstrated experience in managing a team

  • Demonstrated experience in driving media strategy and outputs

  • Ability to turn data into actionable insights

  • Strong project management including timing plans writing

  • Ability to handle changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Comfortable with a level of ambiguity

  • Expertise in using data to drive strategy

  • Fluency in delivering comprehensive reporting and spotting optimisations

  • Ability to manage stakeholders

  • A proactive approach in the workspace

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Fluent in GDPR compliance and ASA regulations

  • Agency account handling experience at group level GAD, Business Director is a plus

  • Start-up experience is a plus

  • Experience in energy is a plus
