Air Traffic Controller – St Athan

Job purpose:
We are currently recruiting an Air Traffic Controller at our NATS Solutions site in St Athan.
Working as part of a close-knit team and supporting a key customer – you will ensure the safe, effective, and efficient conduct of Air Traffic Services and have a strong focus and commitment on safety and service delivery, which are both paramount for success and future growth in this position.

St Athan offers fantastic hands on experience and exposure for those early in their ATC career, and has an excellent validation success rate. You also have the opportunity to develop and map out your future career, gaining access to future internal openings at other NATS Airport locations. Suitable applicants may also be eligible for a funded APS course to further enhance your capabilities.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Applicants will be required to hold a valid UK CAA aerodrome (ADI) rating and must validate this at St Athan as part of their continued employment.
  • All applicants must hold a current UK CAA Medical Certificate
  • You must be a strong team player with the ability to think laterally and remain calm under pressure.
  • Successful applicants will also be required to undertake criminal records checks and provide a 5-year work reference history.

Additional vacancy information:
Controllers at St Athan work on a 6:3 days on/off working pattern – this includes weekends and very occasionally evenings or night shifts, subject to requirements.
