what you will be doing

As a waking night refuge assistant within SafeNet’s refuge team you will work closely with Refuge residents offering practical housing and administration support, including health, safety and safety measures in a supported housing environment. to support

Your role will involve being the first point of contact for SafeNet refuge during the night carrying out reception type duties including maintaining a safe, secure, supportive environment for all adult and child residents. This is a really exciting and rewarding role where you’ll be able to positively impact people’s future, improving their prospects and their quality of life.

As a waking night refuge assistant you will need to be able to work confidently alone supporting residents during the night within the refuge provision. You will be required to work with other external partner agencies including the police to  deliver the best possible outcomes for those in your care.

This role requires you to be flexible in relation to your working hours in order to meet the needs of the service.

Your hours of work would be an average of 24 hours per week working on a 3 week rota and . We are happy to discuss flexibility with shift patterns.

Offers are subject to an enhanced DBS check.   Successful candidates will undertake a 5 day Induction Programme prior to starting employment. This Induction Programme is Mandatory and all new employees must attend the programme. You will be paid a flat rate for attending these days.
