The Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) is an armed police service dedicated to the nuclear industry. Our Firearms Training Records team are crucial in the delivery of our full range of Firearms training and assessment against our requirements and in line with our Firearms Licensing agreement from the College of Policing. Your role will be key in ensuring the effective delivery of up-to-date training records to ensure the critical task of ensuring the safe deployable status of each Firearms Officer.

To do this you will manage our Firearms Records Management System, inputting, collating and maintaining a multitude of records from Firearms Training, Dogs Training, Driver Training and Armoury Access Controls, ensuring that our Officers skills are accurately maintained, and audit controls and measures are applied. You’ll analyse and coordinate training plans to create and manage all future training events in the booking system and providing reports to customers throughout the CNC. You’ll take lead responsibility for designated system modules, proactively self-tasking and prioritising activities within your area. You’ll update and develop the configuration of the system software, revising modules, units and system fields which may alter as a result of changes to a National Curriculum or CNC specific modules.

To be successful you’ll need to have excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office applications, and be able to learn and pick up new software quickly. You’ll be an excellent communicator, both verbally and written, with a proactive and self-motivated approach to work. You’ll be excellent at organising and prioritising, with outstanding accuracy and attention detail. You’ll be resilient and diplomatic, with the ability to influence others. Confidentiality is key in this role as you’ll be privy to and handling sensitive information.

Please note that due to the nature of this role, you will be part of a team who are required to work flexibly to ensure coverage at all training events which may require weekend working on occasions.

This role has been assessed as suitable for hybrid working with a 60% / 40% split of home and office working, details of which will be discussed and agreed with the successful individual.
