The Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) is an armed police service that’s dedicated to the nuclear industry. Our vision is to be recognised as a provider of a world-class service for the protection of nuclear material and facilities. Given the critical nature of our work, it’s vital that we recruit skilled and committed professionals. As our Test Manager, you’ll lead and manage all our test related activities and help us to deliver our new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) programme.
You’ll be responsible for designing, implementing and delivering test workstreams as part of the BPSS project. As part of this, you’ll liaise with internal stakeholders to agree a testing strategy framework and manage our relationship with third party suppliers. As a hands-on lead, you’ll ensure that the entry criteria into each test phase is complete and manage the successful exit from each phase. You’ll also provide status reports and deal with any issues that have been escalated. Importantly, you’ll also ensure we’re meeting our agreed project plans and timelines, while always complying with legal, ethical and industry regulations.
To join, you’ll have experience of testing within a large ERP transformation project (with at least three full project lifecycles). You’ll also have a background of working with a system integrator and working through various testing cycles. With this experience, you’ll know how to test interfaces with legacy applications. With great project management and communication skills, you’ll work well with others and pay close attention to detail. And as a credible individual, you’ll confidently lead triage meetings and deal with any stakeholder concerns. Ideally, you’ll also have experience in a public sector role (preferably within law enforcement).
