The role

What we are looking for

We are Direct Line Group – home to several of the nation’s best-known brands such as Direct Line, Churchill, NIG, and Green Flag. We’re going through several exciting transformations across the business – to ensure we remain innovative and continue to disrupt the market. And to do this, we need to hire the right people which stems from our team, Acquire. An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Talent Acquisition Partner to join our Acquire HR Centre of Expertise (CoE) Recruitment Team. In Acquire, we don’t take a passive recruitment approach. Instead, we are curious and take a collaborative approach with both the market and our internal stakeholders. We network, do lots of direct sourcing, and get involved in group-wide initiatives to always improve on how we recruit.

This opportunity will see you partnering closely with our Technology team recruiting DevOps, Software Engineers, Developers, and Cybersecurity-related roles. With a key focus on strategic relationship management which will involve understanding the business strategy to identify immediate and long-term resourcing and skills acquisition strategy and priorities. You, alongside the team, will then plan and deliver on a broad range of initiatives, ensuring high quality outcomes are met throughout the hiring process.

Working in collaboration with HR People Partners to ensure overall recruitment demands are met, you’ll shape and plan innovative solutions to source talent via various channels including social media. You will be actively managing roles through our ATS (Workday), ensuring it’s always up to date so we can pull accurate reporting at any time. As an SME you’ll also provide ongoing market and industry insight, ensuring a continuous understanding of market changes.

The Talent Acquisition Partner joining the team will have:

  • Previous recruitment experience in a commercial organisation (experience recruiting in Technology is preferred)
  • Passion for providing an excellent experience to candidates and stakeholders alike
  • Ability to effectively direct source and find creative recruitment solutions
  • Experience planning recruitment strategy to meet long term goals
  • Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise workloads to meet the needs of the business
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and confidence to challenge stakeholders where necessary
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • A ‘can do’ attitude – with the ability to adapt and work on own initiative

Our mixed model way of working offers a ‘best of both worlds’ approach combining the best parts of home and office-working, offering flexibility for everyone. We’ve ditched the daily commute for a virtual first approach.
