Systemic Family Therapist
£45,753 to £51,668 per annum pro rata
22.5 hours per week, worked over 3 days
We are seeking a part-time family therapist to help expand and develop our work with families and social networks. Aspire has a well embedded model of family collaboration based on systemic principles and the Open Dialogue approach. You would be working alongside another family therapist to implement a ‘3-step’ model which aims to integrate systemic thinking within the whole service approach. In addition to direct work with families, you will also be providing training, joint working and consultation to the MDT. The post will also provide opportunities to be involved in research, service evaluation and service development.
Aspire is a city-wide service that works with people aged 14-65 who are experiencing a first episode of psychosis. We work creatively and holistically with the person and their family/social network to promote recovery, positive mental health and social inclusion. You would be joining a thriving psychological therapies team including clinical psychology, counselling psychology, CBT, family therapy and dramatherapy. The service has a proud tradition of supporting creativity and innovation. This would be an excellent opportunity to develop an area of special interest and expertise.
We are looking for applicants with a strong interest in psychosis, experience of working in secondary care mental health and an ability to expand systemic ways of working within the service.
The successful candidate should hold a full UK driving license and have access to a vehicle for work purposes.
