what you’ll be doing
As a Support Worker within SafeNet’s refuge team in Rochdale, you will work closely with women, men and children offering direct support to survivors of domestic abuse in both individual and groups settings, contributing to their personal development and wellbeing. Working on a rota, you will support refuge and safehouse residents in a communal setting, offering emotional and practical support for all refuge residents.

As a support worker you will need to be able to deliver support face to face as well as delivering services online including via our online chat ensuring the best possible outcomes for those in your care.
The work involves having excellent communication skills in building relationships with residents and their children, interacting with your colleagues and liaising with professionals to contribute effectively to the smooth running of the Refuge.
Your hours of work would be 35 hours per week on a two week rolling rota
Week 1 – Mon 1pm-9pm, Tues 1pm-9pm, Weds 1pm-9pm, Thurs 8am-3pm, Fri 8am-3pm
Week 2 – Mon 8am-3pm, Tues 8am-3pm, Weds 8am-3pm, Thurs 1pm-9pm, Fri 1pm-9pm
