At Aspire, we are keen to implement some exciting and innovative approaches to therapeutic and trauma-informed care across the service, such as Open Dialogue and third wave therapies, in addition to providing NICE-concordant CBTp and Family Interventions.

We are looking for an experienced Clinical/Counselling Psychologist or Psychotherapist to integrate with the whole service and work with individuals, families/social networks and communities for therapeutic benefit.  The role will involve supervision, consultation and training to the MDT; line management of some junior colleagues; and contributions to service development, evaluation and research.

This position would be an excellent opportunity to develop an area of special interest and expertise.  We are looking for applicants with a strong desire to work with people who express unshared and apparently unusual distressing experiences (the ‘psychosis’ field), have experience of working with secondary care mental health and an ability to be a leader within the service.

The service has a proud tradition of supporting creativity and you would be joining a thriving psychological therapies team including clinical/counselling psychology, CBT, systemic therapy and dramatherapy.

Aspire is a city-wide service that works with people aged 14 – 65 who are regarded as experiencing a first episode of ‘psychosis’, or as having an At Risk Mental State (ARMS).  We work creatively and holistically with the person and their family/social network to promote recovery, positive mental wellbeing and social inclusion.   Community Links is an ambitious, forward-thinking organisation which aims to provide high quality services, adhering to the principles of best practice, promoting equal opportunities and working positively with diversity.

The successful candidate should hold a full UK driving license and have access to a vehicle for work purposes.

For informal enquiries please contact Dr Simon Platts (Psychological Therapies Lead) on simon.platts@commlinks.co.uk / 0113 200 9170.

Closing Date 23:59 Sunday 21st November 2021

Interview: 6th / 14th December 2021

We aim for our workforce to reflect the diverse and exciting region we serve. We want you to have every opportunity to shine and show us your talents. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make sure the assessment process works for you.
