An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated individual to join our Stalking Intervention team as a Specialist Project Worker.
The Specialist Project Worker will be part of the +Choices team which aims to protect victims of domestic abuse by delivering high quality interventions to the perpetrator to address their abusive behaviour.
Our service operates throughout the North Yorkshire and City of York areas delivering interventions in 1:1, group and virtual settings. You will facilitate engagement with perpetrators of domestic related stalking and harassment behaviours to access our bespoke behaviour change programme.
Some of these interventions are delivered outside of normal working hours with typically one group intervention per week held as an evening session.
To succeed in this role, you will have experience of providing 1:1 support and advice within the criminal justice environment. You will also have an understanding of the nature of domestic abuse and its effects on men, women and children and the additional needs of men and women from BAME communities.
You will need to have access to a car for work purposes and hold a full current UK driving licence.
