As a Speech Processing Research Engineer, you’ll keep us up to date with the rapidly evolving world of speech technology. It’s important work, and you’ll do it as part of a welcoming team that encourages new approaches and fresh perspectives.

You’ll be central to the entire engineering process from conception, design and build, to in-service support and retirement. You’ll also share your ideas and findings with a wide range of technical and non-technical audiences. And you’ll have the opportunity to build your knowledge even further by networking with peers in industry and academia.
To succeed, you’ll need a degree that’s relevant to speech and language processing (e.g. Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Mathematics, Acoustics) together with knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas: automatic speech recognition, speech synthesis, speaker recognition. You’ll also bring experience of scripting (e.g. Bash, Python) and Linux systems, and practical experience of applying machine learning approaches to problems.
