About the Role

We have a new opportunity within Protection and Resilience as a Senior Operational Resilience Consultant.  Reporting to the Head of Operational Resilience you will be responsible for refining and implementing an Operational Resilience framework and related policies, with day-to-day oversight of the execution of the Operational Resilience framework across Allianz UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure IBSs and impact tolerances across Allianz UK are maintained and updated reflecting changes in the business, including all required approvals from business areas and supporting functions such as risk
  • Review and continually improve the mapping of underlying supporting assets across all relevant pillars
  • Review and refine the resilience controls/metrics used to assess vulnerability of mapped assets (resilience assessments)
  • Coordinate and oversee regular completion of resilience assessments for identified important business services.
  • Govern the process of identifying, classifying and prioritising specific vulnerabilities related to IBSs, including escalating any unresolved issues to relevant fora or executives
  • Govern the execution of vulnerability remediation, ensuring compliance with agreed risk appetites
  • Facilitate the definition and refining of an IBS-level view of risks/threats, to be used as a basis the development of severe but plausible testing scenarios

 

About You

Essential skills: 

  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to communicate and influence at all levels
  • Proven analytical skills with great attention to detail, with the ability to maintain the broader view.
  • Ability to drive awareness of resilience topics across the organisation
  • Ability to prioritise work effectively, achieving deadlines, demonstrating a flexible and innovative working style
  • Experience of planning and facilitating workshops small and medium-complexity
  • Demonstrates excellent team working skills, supporting other team members

Desirable skills:

  • Previous experience working in areas of governance, risk or business continuity
  • Self-motivated and achievement orientated
  • Willingness to learn and develop through self-driven personal development
