The Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) is an armed police service dedicated to the nuclear industry. We’re looking for PPST Instructors to join our Training Division to teach and develop teams across our Operational Policing Units in PPST Training (Initial, Refresher and Development), Taser Training and Multi-Stage Fitness Testing.

This is a brilliant opportunity to work with a highly motivated and diverse team, in world class training facilities, including Griffin Park.  As well as working with other forces to gain operational experience and National Armed Policing exposure!  You will have the opportunity to build on your skills and knowledge in preparation for promotion process and assist in the development and implementation of new training methodologies.

Successful applicants will meet the following criteria:

  • Achieve the requisite MSFT standard.
  • Not have been on any stage of the Unsatisfactory Performance Procedure (UPP) within the last 12 months.
  • Be willing and able to attend national training courses when required.
  • Attend and successfully complete AET and CET qualifications.
  • Attend and successfully complete a Public and Personal Safety Training Instructors Course.
  • Attend and successfully complete a Taser Instructor Course.
  • Attend and successfully complete a MSFT Instructor Course.
  • The role requires travel and overnight stays away from home and a requirement to work some weekends.
  • You may be required to obtain a higher level of security clearance to carry out this role.
