We are now looking for a Process Architect to join our team

My Role:

To lead and own the process architecture on behalf of FSCS through the effective leadership, design, delivery and embedding of the business process management approach and delivery of all processes, across the scheme to drive optimum customer outcomes.

Responsible for the governance of all business processes, the architecture, and the business process tool ensuring that process management is an unlocked enabler for running the business and transforming the business.  Working with scheme colleagues as the process subject matter expert to help deliver the strategic goals of the scheme.

My Priorities – what I will deliver 

  • Own the business process methodology and be the subject matter expert within FSCS, coaching colleagues across the scheme on process management
  • Creating and leading the business process capability within the scheme, building up an organisation wide consensus behind the importance of BPM and process architecture
  • Influencing and engaging stakeholders to generate the culture required to be successful in the BPM space through role modelling and coaching colleagues
  • Build and own the business process architecture, made up of capabilities, workflows, processes, rules and information
  • Own process governance and assurance, providing oversight & quality controls to the required quality frameworks
  • Co-creation of new processes using solid business process management approaches and disciplines, ensuring all processes are documented against an industry standard structure with levels of architecture relevant to FSCS
  • All process are documented, accessible and change controlled, each with an owner and managed in the right place within the scheme
  • Ensure that process changes are implemented quicker, more accurately and more embedded due to the foundations, approach and methodologies created
  • Analyse and review processes continually, ensuring they are fully optimised and Business the appropriate methodology, drive outcomes and values for the scheme and its customers
  • Hands on creation of processes to support new projects or change initiatives where applicable
  • Work as part of an architect community alongside the technical, solution and enterprise architect to drive best practice in the space
  • Using industry standard methodologies (lean six sigma or equivalent) to identify and deliver significant improvements to the schemes process architecture and practices
  • Understand the scheme strategies and priorities and translate that understanding into deliverable activities in the process space
  • Work in partnership with Change Portfolio Partners to build an effective pipeline of optimisation initiatives that are continually delivered, driving value for the business, making desired improvements and delivering business outcomes

My Knowledge – what I need to know 

  • Leadership – Demonstrating gravitas through leading and developing virtual teams comprising of business, delivery and partnership areas, and external suppliers. Regularly applying ‘thought leadership’ to lead the organisations thinking regarding Change and Transformation
  • Strategic Thinking – Challenging business leaders, teams and the executive to realise FSCS ambitious goals and achieve the transformation required within the Strategy for the 2020s
  • Facilitation – Use expert facilitation tools and techniques to bring people together from across the organisation, partnership, stakeholder groups and external third parties – facilitating their collaboration and challenge to deliver business objectives
  • Stakeholder Management – Managing diverse stakeholders and their varying requirements and styles. Leading stakeholders to ensure they trust that they are working in partnership with the Change and Transformation team to deliver the right thinking, environment and solutions across the whole of the change journey
  • Innovation – Continual focus on new and evolving ways to improve solutions and business performance. Demonstrating ‘out of the box’ thinking to challenge the norm and create higher business performance


Essential qualifications:

  • Lean Six Sigma qualification or equivalent
  • A proven track record in the delivery of process management, business process methodology leadership
  • Demonstrable experience in a hands-on process architect role for a complex, customer led organisation
