Job description

We have a unique opportunity within the DVLA for a Personalised Registrations Executive. You will be responsible for compiling Personalised Registration sales events to deliver purchasing opportunities to customers. You will use systems and databases, particularly Microsoft Excel, to research market and customer behaviours by looking at previous trends and historical sales to understand demand and popular styles.

Using your findings to tailor your approach and pricing strategy, you will strive to maximise sales and achieve income targets.

This is a unique, exciting opportunity to work in a challenging environment and deliver on a sales strategy. You will work in a close-knit team of 14 people, all of whom deal with personal registrations. Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Supporting the day-to-day delivery of Personalised Registrations business operations to ensure revenue and customer service standards are achieved. Identifying opportunities, utilising sales and marketing methods to drive improvements.
  • Coordinating and delivering multiple ongoing sales events, ensuring task deadlines are met by maintaining regular and effective communication with key stakeholders.
  • Collating, monitoring and interpreting statistical information, producing regular MI reports to maximise efficiencies and annual income, and inform future forecasting.
  • Developing and maintaining commercial understanding of the Personalised Registrations product by promoting brand values both internally in the DVLA and with external stakeholders.
  • Supporting business initiatives and process improvements. Providing SME advice and guidance to projects and stakeholders.

There are currently no line management responsibilities attached to this role, however this could change in future with this and additional similar roles which may arise.

Additional Information

This role will be based in Swansea, and we will be operating a hybrid working model that allows you to work between home and on-site giving you greater flexibility about where and when you work, subject to business needs and this also allows for ongoing support, development, and collaboration with colleagues.

Therefore, the expectation is that you will spend a minimum of 60% of your working time based at your principal workplace (DVLA). We would encourage you to discuss the working arrangements for this role with us during the recruitment process.

Person specification

You will bring strong analytical skills and an eye for detail to this role, with the ability to notice trends and inconsistencies in data and identify the best way to maximise revenue.

We are looking for a committed team player who is passionate about finding ways to transform ways of working to improve outcomes.

You will have a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel with the ability to use basic formulae. The team is experienced in the finer details of how we work, and you will be supported to gain further skills and fully utilise our systems to enable you to perform to a high standard.
