£17,625 per annum

37 hours per week (Rota basis – 3 nights on, 3 nights off)

About you

Do you have Health and Social Care or Youth Work or Children’s Residential NVQ level 2 or equivalent?

Are you experienced working with socially disadvantaged and vulnerable individuals and have the ability to develop and influence others? Are you aware of the causes and effects related to homelessness?

Do you have the experience to work with individuals who may demonstrate challenging behaviour? Are you experienced in working in an environment that requires confidentiality? Do you have commitment to equality and diversity?


If so, the Housing Management Worker Nights role may be the role for you.

Changing Lives is a national charity that supports over 17,000 people each year. We are a well-respected, growing organisation dedicated to supporting the most vulnerable people across the UK.

We began as a soup run supporting people who were homeless in the North East over 45 years ago, and are proud to still have our main base and central office in the North East. Since 1970, our services have grown and developed to support people experiencing a wide range of personal challenges, including addiction and recovery programmes, employment guidance, help for people in prison or on probation, and support for people experiencing sexual exploitation or domestic abuse.

About the job

Changing Lives is a charity supporting young adults to develop independent lives. The project is a 24 hour supported accommodation service based in Birtley and we are looking for an enthusiastic Support Worker to join an exciting enthusiastic professional team. With a person-centered approach we support young adults aged 18-25 to become to overcome barriers and promote independent living.
