Horizons is a pilot project funded by the Ministry of Justice to provide housing choices for people leaving prison. Its aim is to reduce homelessness amongst people leaving HMP Leeds and who want to resettle in West Yorkshire.
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual, who will have a creative and imaginative approach to working within this new partnership.
The Navigator will be responsible for assisting prisoners inside HMP Leeds to access suitable accommodation on release and to provide ongoing support in the community, which will include travel around West Yorkshire. The role involves providing support and guidance to access services and interventions for ex-offenders to maintain their own independent accommodation and meet their own aspirations.
Navigators may be supporting people with multiple disadvantage who may display challenging behavioural issues.
In order to apply for this position, you will need to hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work purposes.

Where applicable during the Coronavirus lockdown employees will be home-based, the permanent base of the role will be the office base.
