Job description

We are looking for a passionate and professional leader to join the senior operational leadership team in the Casework and Enforcement Group (CAEG) where you will be tasked with handling a strategic contract, whilst delivering strong customer service leading an operational area.

You will work with integrity, drive and strong commercial acumen to handle three contracts which support the agency to reduce evasion, meeting key service levels and maintaining financial control and strategic supplier management. You will lead your staff with strong performance and quality measures, ensuring excellent customer service, operational delivery and improve efficiencies whilst maintaining excellent engagement with both the on-site and remote workforce. You will fully support and drive our Business Plan and Strategic Agenda, advocating and facilitating change, digitisation and modernisation.

You will also be involved in targeted media campaigns, where you will demonstrate strong communication skills and represent the agency across a variety of media outlets.

Key accountabilities will include:

  •  Lead the Unit/Teams to support the achievement of key performance targets, performance and quality standards.
  • Effectively lead, drive and mentor teams by promoting changes and leading teams through the change process.
  • To ensure any relevant contract management responsibilities and internal/external stakeholder communication are undertaken effectively.
  • Provide strategic and operational direction, developing and maintaining good working relationships internally and externally.

Additional Requirements

This role requires frequent travel, typically once or twice each month.

You will be required to provide cover in the office until 5pm, this is run on a rota basis with other colleagues.

This role will require you to work on-site at one of our designated offices.

About You

The successful candidate will be a leader who role models the values of integrity, impartiality and independence, always seeking to exceed customer expectations. A credible, skilled influencer who can challenge skilfully at senior levels whilst maintaining positive relationships and has clear and compelling verbal and written communication skills.

You will be experienced in contract management and have strong interpersonal and relationship building capability, enabling excellent internal and external stakeholder management.

We would love someone with a future focussed mindset, able to implement business, process and people strategies, with a deep understanding of the value that they bring to the business. You will also need a continual determination to achieve value for money through continuous improvement and contract change initiatives.

Due to the evolving nature of the business, vacancies can become available at any time. Therefore, this campaign may create a reserve list to fulfil demand if it arises which will be held for a period of 3 months.
