Within the role of National Enforcement Administration Officer, you will join a small, friendly team who provide an efficient administrative support service to enable the achievement of DVSA business plan goals and to deliver safe, effective and efficient support services for frontline staff.
With a focus on delivering excellent support, you will handle essential administrative tasks, including managing correspondence, prioritising urgent matters, and ensuring timely responses to key communications. You’ll also oversee travel and accommodation arrangements, organise meetings, and serve as the meeting secretariat.
Your responsibilities will include maintaining accurate registers and logs, preparing and issuing accreditation materials such as warrant cards, and contributing to the development of new processes to improve operational efficiency.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Dealing with mail, phone calls and e-mails promptly; sending/giving standard replies as appropriate and forwarding to relevant member of staff.
- Keeping track of all important correspondence and bring to the attention of the relevant team member where a reply is outstanding and becoming urgent.
- Providing general office admin duties, such as photocopying, filing, arranging ad hoc meetings, etc.
- Maintaining accurate and timely registers and logs (electronic and manual).
- Preparing and issuing accreditation materials such as warrant cards
- Creating and sending letters
Person specification
About you
You will have experience of providing admin duties, with excellent organisation skills and a keen attention to detail. You will be proficient in using various applications, such as Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes.
You will be proactive and organised in your approach, and have excellent time management skills. You will be an articulate communicator, and have confidence engaging with colleagues at all levels across the agency.
