£38,200 per annum +£3,800 location allowance

Do you have specific experience of working in Homelessness or a related area?
Do you have experience of working in a management role within a challenging environment?
Are you empathetic and able to act in a non-judgemental manner towards Service Users whom may have multiple needs?
Do you have the ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team and be able to build rapport, and develop positive relationships with key stakeholders, internally and externally?

We began as a soup run supporting people who were homeless in the North East over 45 years ago, and are proud to still have our main base and central office in the North East. Since 1970, our services have grown and developed to support people experiencing a wide range of personal challenges, including addiction and recovery programmes, employment guidance, help for people in prison or on probation, and support for people experiencing sexual exploitation or domestic abuse.

About the job
The Area Manager plays a pivotal role in Changing Lives, strategically leading multiple projects within the Operational business, which may range in size, complexity and locality within the thematic area.
You will be responsible for the delivery of frontline homeless services, focusing on enabling the delivery of high quality services for people experiencing challenging times. The role requires excellent relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders and a commitment to involving the people who use our services.
The role provides strategic leadership to support operational delivery of a range of supported accommodation and Personal Transition Services (PTS). The role will also focus on identifying and developing new opportunities within the geographical area.
The post-holder will oversee the work of Service Managers and be accountable to a Head of Service, ensuring that the projects are ran to a high standard, committed to the overall organisational strategic objectives
