Job Purpose and Summary

 

Canon UK is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Logistic Coordinator to join the Supply Chain Management team.

This is an entry level position giving you the opportunity to join an industry leading global brand.  As the Logistics Coordinator you will support the overall management and monitoring of Supply Chain logistics operations by producing logistics forecast reports, reporting on exceptions, analysing the service levels, producing key performance indicator reports and monitoring and checking spend with our third-party partners.

In this role you will need tenacity, resilience and a good eye for detail, to help resolve complex queries. You will need to be computer literate with a mindset and interest in analysing numerical data to help Canon continually improve customer service processes and practices.

What we ask

 

As the Logistics Coordinator you will:

Support overall management and monitoring of the Supply Chain logistics operations.

Ensure third party partners are meeting the required SLA’s by producing and analysing forecast reports, logging and reporting on exceptions, analyzing the service levels, producing key performance indicator reports.

Ensure accurate and timely completion of Customs entries with help from our customs broker.

To monitor daily inbound shipments to port and warehouses and ensure action is taken where necessary to achieve on time delivery into the warehouse.

Ensure all deliveries from all of our warehouses to Canon UK & Ireland customers are carried out satisfactorily and within agreed SLAs.

Administer all marine insurance claims for Canon UK, including obtaining all documentation to submit claim, logging on the broker system, dealing with disputes with our logistics providers and ensuring closure of claim.

Run and distribute weekly and monthly reports on inbound and outbound movements to allow us to track KPIs and SLAs.  Proactively analyse trends to identify any issues and opportunities for improvement

 

You will need

 

As the Logistics Coordinator you will be able to demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Experience in logistics, preferably with a mix of air/sea/truck.
  • Self-starter with a customer first attitude
  • High level of customer focus with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with excellent inter-personal skills
  • strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Power bi knowledge
  • Experience of working in a Business Operations/Supply Chain environment is desirable
  • Competent in managing queries, resolving issues and working with multiple stakeholders to find solutions to problems
  • Basic project management skills are desirable
  • Experience of working with sales performance metrics is desirable
