We are advertising a 2-year temporary development opportunity, with a view to permanency, subject to achieving the required industrial or academic qualifications for the role.  In addition, given the ICT Engineer (Infrastructure Team) requires a minimum of 5 years professional experience, a minimum of 3 years professional experience would be required for anyone applying to ensure they meet the 5 years at the end of the two-year temporary term.

Durham Constabulary is the top performing Police Force in the country and are looking for an IT Engineers to join the busy Infrastructure Team within the ICT Department.

The Infrastructure Team has a wide scope of responsibility for providing professional technical solutions to our operational policing environment with responsibilities for both project delivery and supporting our Information Technology Systems from our onsite datacentres, servers, storage and applications to cloud based solutions.

Job Requirements

Applicants must have 4 GCSEs including English Language or Literature and Mathematics (Grade 9 to 4/A to C) or an approved equivalent. An individual who possesses an equivalent e.g. NVQ must provide evidence of Math’s and English.

It would be beneficial but not-essential to have the following experience

  • Cloud Migrations particularly Office 365
  • Microsoft Exchange Administration
  • Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager
  • Microsoft Active Directory Administration
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Microsoft Intune
  • VMWare
  • Citrix

Applicants must possess a full, current driving licence or have access to a means of mobility support as the role involves extensive travel to various meetings across the force.
