ISE Support Worker 89 views

Do you want to lead a team that is committed to supporting people who are homeless, or have complex needs, in a trauma-informed and restorative way? If so, why not apply to Beacon Leeds for the exciting opportunity?

In addition to our community properties, Beacon Leeds provides supported housing in three Intensive Supported Environments (ISEs – Meanwood, Chapeltown, Woodhouse). We work with and support clients to maximise their potential by helping them enhance and develop skills that will ultimately help them maintain their tenancies independently and undertake meaningful occupation such as employment, education, and training or volunteering. The successful applicant will offer intensive support to clients living in the ISEs and we currently have vacancies in both our female and male environments.

The successful candidate will be an effective communicator with a passion and resilience for working with challenging behaviours. A knowledge of key working, risk management and support planning processes, as well as housing management (e.g. familiarity with Housing Benefit issues, voids management, tenancy agreements, re-housing processes) is desirable.

The shifts are on a rota and are 8 hours long (including a half hour lunch break), between 7am and 8pm, 7 days a week.

You will be able to demonstrate a positive, flexible attitude towards work. Be self-motivated and confident and able to build positive relationships quickly.

In addition, you will have an understanding of and commitment to safeguarding our clients and helping them develop strategies to keep themselves safe from risk and harm.

What is important is that you love what you do. We want you to enjoy coming to work every day and to care about your job, your colleagues and our clients.

To find out more about the above role before applying, please contact Scheme Manager Abby Goater on 07821824655
