2 Year Fixed Term Appointment

Full time (37.5 hours per week)

As Investigator, you will conduct investigations into misconduct and complaints against Officers and Staff in accordance with the law and relevant regulations, including cases where there is evidence to suggest criminal offences, misconduct or malpractice is being or is suspected of being committed.

    Essential

    • Proven investigative skills.
    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to negotiate and influence people at all levels.
    • Ability to identify and collate evidence and intelligence.
    • Experience of conducting interviews under PACE.
    • Forensic awareness and exhibit handling.
    • Proven ability to multi-task and manage high caseloads.
    • Knowledge of the National Intelligence Model.
    • PIP 2 Accredited Investigator.

    Desirable 

    • Knowledge of Police Conduct Regulations and associated legislation and guidance.
