The role will support delivery of internal messaging and publishing of external content. Activity will largely focus on engaging with and informing staff across the MCA. The postholder will also assist in maintaining content across other digital channels and provide publishing support and advice to other business areas. This role has a strong support focus, enabling the wider team and acting as a point of contact for day-to-day requests from internal stakeholders.

 

Top Responsibilities

  • Delivering internal communications content, publishing news articles, promoting agency events, and maintaining staff-facing pages on SharePoint.
  • Managing shared inbox, monitoring and responding to incoming requests and escalating within the team as necessary.
  • Providing excellent customer service and guidance to colleagues, supporting them to communicate and publish effectively, and acting as a point of contact for incoming requests.
  • Working effectively with a range of internal stakeholders; helping to ensure that all business areas are represented on the intranet and relevant content is regularly reviewed and kept up to date.
  • Supporting delivery of other internal communication activity, including all-staff emails, newsletters, virtual events, and staff community noticeboards.

About you

You will be a creative communications professional with experience of delivering user-centred content.

You are comfortable following style guides and using best practice to deliver content utilising the most effective channels.

You have experience of working with websites and content management systems, as well as knowledge of accessibility standards.

You are someone who enjoys working collaboratively with different business areas, you can build rapport quickly with both internal and external stakeholders. This enables you to build solid working relationships and demonstrate an understanding of your audience and how to communicate with impact across the business.

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail are required. You will be able to manage and filter workflow as well as organise and prioritise your work to maximise productivity and achieve all deadlines. You will be highly adaptable and flexible, adjusting to the requirements of the role. You will be team player with the ability to work on your own initiative and under pressure.
