£11,000 pro rota (£22,000 per annum)
HMP Kirklevington Grange, North Yorkshire
18.5 Hours per week, Monday and Tuesday

Do you have significant recent experience in delivery of careers advice to adults, individually or in groups, in custody or in the community??
Do you have experience of providing 1:1 support and using action planning methods to enable individuals to achieve their goals?
Do you have experience of referring & supporting unemployed individuals to access other providers?
Do you have the ability to coach, motivate & influence & engage others?
Do you have High standard of administrative / ICT skills, able to use digital platforms to enhance the learner experience, e.g. Virtual Campus?

About the job
This is a unique opportunity to help men in the criminal justice system realise their potential and successfully resettle in the community. As a qualified Information, Advice & Guidance Adviser you will provide careers advice and guidance helping the men to achieve work, learning and personal development goals. Working holistically 1:1 and in small workshop groups you will support the men to develop their Personal Learning Plans and be responsible for supporting them through every stage of their journey, enabling them to address their barriers and realise their aspirations in preparation for release.
With excellent interpersonal skills, you will help the men we support to become more confident and motivated to enable them to achieve their goals whilst at the same time ensuring a consistent and high quality service.
The role will involve coordinating careers/employment events, employer visits & motivational events. Adopting a whole person approach by working collaboratively with all partners to ensure the best outcomes for the men including Key workers, Educations, CRCs, Offender Management & Probation.
