Commercial acumen

  • Interacts with clients through delivery of research projects and by asking appropriate questions/answering questions in client calls/meetings
  • Develops an understanding of business issues, clients, methodologies and how research meets clients’ needs by attending internal RFP brainstorming sessions, relevant training and through project work
  • Prepares relevant documents for client meetings and calls and attends, where appropriate
  • Inputs to sections of proposals, with guidance
  • Is aware of the costing system and its importance, , how it works and where to find budgeted costs

Delivering excellence

  • Develops a thorough understanding of market research and project management for qualitative and quantitative research
  • With direction, drafts screeners, and contributes to sections of questionnaires and discussion guides that address client business issues and meet market research objectives
  • Accurately checks simple survey links, removing all errors
  • Accurately checks survey data at soft launch / close, and is familiar with raw data files
  • With supervision, drafts basic tab-spec and reviews code frame, providing feedback / suggesting amendments as appropriate
  • Accurately checks simple tables removing all errors
  • Quality checks client deliverables
  • Shadows tele-depth interviews with a view to learning and applying
  • Inputs in to the design of presentations / final deliverables

Internal management

  • Consistently uses Traffic Live to assess available budgets per task, to record own workload in a timely manner and works with line manager and resource manager to ensure agreed deadlines are met
  • Understands how the research is supported by Business Excellence and other internal and external teams and is familiar with the best practice standards
  • Follows the audit checklist and the Kantar Health quality standard framework on every project
  • Consistently meets deadlines required by both clients, other team members and departments
  • Supports outputs of internal initiatives and work streams designed to improve what we offer as a business

Developing self and others

  • Demonstrates maturity in the assessment of own learning and development needs and takes responsibility for developing them in line with business requirements
  • Fully engages in rotations within Business Excellence and the wider business to broaden knowledge and experience while making a meaningful contribution to the business in these placements
