Changing Lives is a national charity that supports over 17,000 people each year. We are a well-respected, growing organisation dedicated to supporting the most vulnerable people across the UK.
We began as a soup run supporting people who were homeless in the North East over 45 years ago, and are proud to still have our main base and central office in the North East. Since 1970, our services have grown and developed to support people experiencing a wide range of personal challenges, including addiction and recovery programmes, employment guidance, help for people in prison or on probation, and support for people experiencing sexual exploitation or domestic abuse.
We’re looking for committed and compassionate professionals who share our enthusiasm for changing lives.
About the job
Fulfilling Lives Newcastle Gateshead (FLNG) is an eight-year learning programme funded by the National Lottery Community Fund. FLNG is delivered by a core partnership of Changing Lives (lead partner), Mental Health Concern and Oasis Community Housing and are working to build a trauma-informed workforce across Newcastle and Gateshead so we can help understand and change how the system supports people experiencing multiple and complex needs.
We are now moving into the final two years of the programme – an exciting phase of embedding learning and seeking to influence policy around system change. The successful candidate will therefore be expected to work independently and creatively, combining strong programme management skills with experience of influencing stakeholders and a keen understanding of the policy environment.
The Programme Manager will report to the Head of Policy and Public Affairs at Changing Lives and will lead a team to deliver all aspects of the programme, including; Co-Production (including the Expert by Experience Network), Research and Evaluation, System Change and Workforce Development. Additionally, this role will share the learning from FLNG with the national work of the Fulfilling Lives programme via the quarterly System Change Action Network
