The Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) is an armed police service that’s dedicated to the nuclear industry. Given the critical nature of our work, it’s vital that we recruit skilled and committed professionals to our high-performing team.  As a Financial Analyst, you’ll join us in a role where you can provide a high-quality service to the CNC. 

Working as part of the Business and Efficiency team, you’ll be the single point of contact for Finance related queries and problem resolution to cost centre budget holders, be responsible for provision of a full Financial Analyst service, including financial advice for budget control (supporting the Finance Business Partners). The job holder will be a key influencing member of the finance team. You will need to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Alongside the other Financial Analyst, you’ll support in the month end reporting process.

Within the team you will be working alongside Finance Business Partners, providing financial advice, support and coaching to budget holders. A strong eye for detail will be required. It’s crucial that we work to our financial plans, and support with tracking the financials of key projects.

You’ll need to be either fully or part AAT qualified (actively studying) with a recognised accountancy body (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) with demonstrable experience in an accountancy environment. You’ll be a highly competent user of Enterprise Resource systems and MS Office applications, particularly at an advanced level in Excel as part of your role will be maintaining, developing and building financial models. A high degree of numeracy, technical and analytical skills will be needed, with a methodical approach to tasks. As you’ll be interacting with stakeholders, you’ll need effective communication skills whilst providing a proactive and can-do attitude to meet critical deadline.
