As the Digital Technical Support Officer, you will develop, create and implement digital content for the CNC Police Officers and Staff.

The Corporate Learning and Development team provide professional consultancy on a broad portfolio of learning and development products and services. Critical to success is a solid focus on developing organisational excellence and operational competence by supporting the structured development opportunities of all CNC employees.

Our team are looking for a Digital Technical Support Officer to assist in the design and development of e-learning and digital content (such as images, videos and other media files) for use in organisational e-learning programmes and provide a high-quality online user experience.

In this varied position; you’ll support with the development of content for e-Learning packages, and suggest formats and layouts that will ensure the target audience are engaged. You’ll support in the production of e-multimedia content for a wide variety of digital and e-Learning projects – covering assessments, workbooks and virtual material, as well as development of engaging online learning activities and digital media resources. You will also be required to support in the production of reports for line managers and the Constabulary as a whole.

To be successful in this position you will be creative, optimistic and willing to learn! You’ll be keen to showcase your ideas and suggestions to your team, and also to the wider organisation.

Essential Experience:

  • Knowledge of multi-media production applications (eLearning authoring tools, design, video and audio production).
  • Competent user of standard Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Assist in supporting the requirements of working with a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Good knowledge of innovative application of photography, lighting and camera techniques.
  • Ability to manipulate and create images to enhance e-learning packages/videos.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent standard of literacy, accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Innovative and creative with high level of enthusiasm for new and emerging technologies.
  • Ability to identify and resolve technical issues with minimal supervision.
  • Analytical skills to solve problems.
  • Judgemental skills to formulate solutions and recommend on the best course of action.
  • Assist and advise training staff on the creation, storage and use of re-useable electronic learning objects and digital media assets.
  • Ability to communicate at a professional level across the organisation.
  • Self-motivated and flexible.
  • Stay ahead of developments in digital media and technology-enhanced learning

Desirable Knowledge .

  • Desirable knowledge (training will be given) of Adobe CC (Captivate, Photoshop, Premier Pro, Audition).
