Advertised salary is inclusive of a base salary of £30,485 plus a technical allowance of £2,950 and a shift working payment of £9,059

🕒 Contract Type: Permanent – Full-time, Shift working

We are looking for self-motivated individuals to join our professional enforcement team as a Commercial Vehicle Examiner, for shift working positions at strategic sites throughout the country.

Vehicle Examiners contribute to the integrity of road safety and standards to keep Britain moving safely and sustainably.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Analyse data, looking for discrepancies and trends.
• Answer technical queries from customers, offering advice, guidance and education as required.
• Keep their technical knowledge up to date and manage their personal development.

About you

Essential qualifications/licenses:

1. Applicants are required to hold a full and current car driving licence.
2. You must have a vocational related qualification in Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair at level 3 or IMI ATA registration at diagnostic technician level, or IRTEC registration at advanced technician level.

To be successful in this role you will need to have experience in the repair, maintenance or inspection of at least one type of vehicle, if not multiple, along with the relevant qualifications.
