An exciting opportunity has arisen for a CNC Grinder to join our team in Mainline Shafts (DSFT), within the Rotatives Supply Chain Unit.

 

In this role, you will work on some of the latest machining platforms at Rolls Royce producing various shaft components across all the major engine projects. You will be responsible for delivering against weekly targets to meet customer requirements.

Your needs are as unique as you are. What you will be doing:

You will look after producing a range of shaft components and you will also:

  • Work to Rolls-Royce Technical Instructions and ensure consistent delivery across a variety of different components and product families.
  • Interpret manufacturing drawings, customer drawings and written specifications.
  • Assess whether the quality of components produced meets the required standards. Operate a variety of inspection equipment such as micrometers, bore gauges and comparator gauging.
  • Work within a team to effectively resolve quality issues and ensure your work is being completed to plan.

 

Who we are looking for:

  • Completed an advanced modern apprenticeship* in an engineering discipline and an NVQ/SVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
  • Prior experience of internal, external and Curvic grinding preferred.
  • Previous experience of working with aerospace components and standards.
  • Clear and demonstrated understanding of drawing interpretation, calibration, dimensional and visual inspection.
  • An active and patient individual who can manage your time effectively.

 

*Please attach a copy of your certificates as proof of completing a recognised advanced level apprenticeship and a level 3 qualification in addition to your CV.
