Role Description

Allianz Specialty have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Test Manager to join our family of talented people in the Transformation Change Team.

As the Business Test Manager, you will cover testing for the AZS Change portfolio. You will work with aligned Allianz Technology Test teams to ensure integration of both business and technical testing. You will be the single management point to ensure all testing impacting AZS is done to the required standard to meet business objectives.

You will have direct accountability for the effectiveness of business testing and will manage the provision of all aspects of business acceptance for the portfolio.

An element of this role for the AZS Change portfolio will be focused on supporting and developing people, focused on the business testers, but could be required across the change portfolio.

Your Focus:

  • Overall responsibility for defining and implementing test strategy for business testing across the portfolio, including long standing teams.
  • Work closely with the Project Managers, Testers and QA leads to devise and agree test objectives, test strategies and test plans aligned to the overall programme delivery dates
  • Be able to build sustainable, comprehensive testing strategies & protocols for business acceptance testing processes and their interactions across multiple work streams and project teams.
  • Support test planning, implement monitoring, control and delivery of business acceptance testing activities and tasks
  • Collaboration with internal/external stakeholders, test managers, development teams, QA leads, business and project teams to define test strategy within release trains / squads
  • Work with other Test Managers to manage QA leads across the wider change estate to ensure compliance with Allianz mandated Key Controls and Ways of Working and agreed strategy
  • Define/Specify/Implement test reporting requirements (in collaboration with Aztech Test Management) into the programme. Ensure the required level of reporting is provided by the delivery teams and up into programme management
  • Collaborate with Aztech Test Managers to ensure consistency of use of JIRA/Zephyr scaled and other test management / collaboration tools used
  • Collaborate with Aztech Test Managers to manage by exception issues regarding test environment configuration, availability and security to ensure smooth execution of E2E business acceptance testing. Support QA leads where required to specify and deliver environment requirements
  • Identify areas suitable for automation testing and work with peers in Aztech to deliver
  • Analyse and document QA-related artefacts and metrics for reporting and auditing purposes
  • Manage and empower the test staff in testing methodologies and enabling best practices
  • Support the QA Lead community to assess and agree estimates for testing periods and work with Programme Management to ensure adequate BAT resources are available (Testers and Business SME’s)
  • Adhere to Corporate Policies and Procedures, including GDPR, Code of Conduct, Audit process and any controls related to delivery of Testing (list not exhaustive)
  • Work with Portfolio management to agree strategy and resource / team requirements for Testers, focused on BSS testing but as an input on all testing activity.

About You

To be successful for the role you will have an understanding of General Insurance end to end process and products with the ability to work alongside cross-functional experienced teams.

You will have strong test management experience and of setting up QA delivery in an Agile environment.

You will have experience managing the design, development and delivery of large-scale testing engagements across a broad range of platforms and business areas with experience managing E2E testing on large projects or programmes of work

You will have experience working on large and complex programmes, creating and implementing test strategies, and tailoring to best fit based on changing requirements – new ways of working – risk appetite and business priorities

You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex or technical information in a simple way and when required the ability to Influence, negotiate

You will thrive in multi-stakeholder projects and be comfortable adapting your approach and language to work with colleagues of various disciplines and seniority.

Our Ways of Working

The role will be based at Allianz Ditton Park, Riding Court Road, Datchet SL3 9LL.

Our office with flex model means that you will have the opportunity to work from home as well as the office. As a hybrid worker you will be in the office between 2 and 16 days per month depending on individual and business need. This will be discussed at interview stage.
