Bids and Tender Executive 308 views

The Bids and Tenders Executive will be critical to the growth of the business and will report to the global bid manager with the primary goal of bringing in new and retaining existing corporate business through high quality bid, content management and pitch documents.

Main Responsibilities

Support the Bupa Global commercial function to continually improve sales and retention targets by functioning as a centre of excellence and knowledge by:

Content Management Responsibilities

  • Maintain and expand a knowledge library of high quality content to improve bid and tender quality and consistency across Bupa Global
  • Engage regularly with key contributors and subject matter experts across Bupa Global to update and create new content on common or expected tender topics
  • Share bid and tender knowledge ensuring process and capability is embedded with the sales function and wider business

Bid Management Responsibilities

  • Support bid manager in high quality tender and due diligence submissions in order to maximise competitive positioning whilst ensuring brand and customer experience
  • Engage bid manager in all aspects of bid and tender submissions including full tender project plan and pipeline management
  • Work closely with appropriate leads in Sales, Product Marketing, Actuarial, Legal and Operational teams to ensure all relevant input for competitive bids and tender responses

The Ideal Candidate

  • Relevant education in marketing, sales/account manager or related studies desirable. Healthcare industry background desirable but not required. Bachelor’s degree (e.g., in Communications, Marketing) desirable.
  • Sales background in the global health insurance market, or relevant transferable skills and knowledge from other industries e.g., Life Insurance, Retail, Commercial or Investment Banking and Wealth Management
  • Commercial acumen to enable robust proposals to be developed that deliver customer, partner and business value whilst working under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication and influencing skills are required with emphasis on achieving results and successful outcomes
  • Robust presentation skills and proficiency with basic MS Office toolkit is essential
  • A track record of achieving and exceeding targeted business results/KPIs
  • An understanding of commercial decision making, with the ability to make and support recommendations to senior leadership
  • Energy, commitment and a positive attitude to achieving results
  • Exposure to project work including demonstrating successful process improvement initiatives
