Job Purpose and Summary

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic B2B Product Launch Specialist for an exciting new opportunity to take responsibility for our B2B releases across Hardware, software, solutions and services categories.

Working within the Canon UK&I Digital Printing and Solutions (DP&S) marketing group the ideal candidate will be responsible to coordinate efforts related to releasing new products to the market. You will work with product management, sales, commercial, service and business operations teams. You will coordinate and provide critical input to define and deploy winning go-to-market strategies by engaging in a combination of strategic and tactical tasks ensuring launches are delivered on time and create the maximum positive impact in the market.

You will build the organisations product launch expertise by studying the outcomes of each launch and engaging with key stakeholders to continuously improve the related business processes ensuring we deliver high value launches both internally and externally to our customer base. You will then ensure that a handover to the product marketing specialist is seamless and well documented once the launch processes are complete.

  • Pay – Between £42,000 and £47,000 depending on experience

What we ask

You will:

  • Co-ordinate with all teams throughout the launch process to ensure everyone is on track – and helping when teams face a challenge, but also holding all teams accountable for completing their tasks on time.
  • Ensure consistent documentation supporting the release timelines and status are maintained to a high standard and create performance dashboards and other self-serve tools for use by stakeholders and wider management team.
  • Ensure the readiness of release items in the ordering, invoicing and support systems via the involvement of appropriate stakeholders.
  • Organise the training of relevant stakeholders and liaise with the central release management and product marketing teams.
  • Work with the product specialist to collate all (existing & new) assets needed to launch the new products, and brief the appropriate internal teams and ensure sales enablement platform readiness.
  • Create and manage the phase out plans of discontinued products, solutions or services as consequence of new releases and support order transition.
  • Process improvement – identify areas for process improvement and improved collaboration and develop plans to test improvements and gain feedback.

You will need

As the B2B Product Launch Specialist, you will possess the following skills and expertise;

  • Previous experience and successful track record in Project and/or Program management experience.
  • Proactive self-starter, able to overcome obstacles and deliver within agreed time-frames.
  • Excellent ability to prioritise work and manage deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and process oriented.
  • Strong analytical skills, to measure process performance and implement improvements.
  • Strong cross-functional and relationship building skills, being able to collaborate with multiple stakeholders across sales & support functions.
  • Excellent communicator who can influence key stakeholders and develop compelling stories that resonate with the audience.
  • A passion for technology; to know how products, software and services come together to create and add value for our customers.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Oracle or other CRM/ERP systems preferred.
  • Experience working with direct sales teams and indirect partner teams in Print, Document Solutions or IT related industry preferred.
  • Degree in Marketing, business administration or related field mandatory.

Salary – between £42,121 and £47,682 depending on experience
