Do you want to work for the most exciting media company in the business, covering the best country in the world? Glasgow and Edinburgh Live are already the best-read news titles in their cities and sister title dailyrecord.co.uk is the largest news website in Scotland – but we want to get even bigger.
We are now looking for a Trainee Trends Writer to work for Glasgow and Edinburgh Live. You will be able to identify the latest search trends or the hot topics on social media, and know how to turn them into engaging digital content. You’ll cover a varied range of subjects from viral news to shopping, current affairs to must-see television – and deliver that content to a wider audience while retaining high standards of storytelling. You will know the key search terms needed and the ideal time and platform to optimise your stories.
We are looking for candidates with excellent storytelling techniques, superb social media skills and knowledge of SEO and Google Trends, as well as a deep understanding of how to make content engaging.
Please note we will be reviewing applications for this role as applications are submitted. Due to this, the role may close without notice, so please don’t delay in your application.
