It’s an exciting time for us; we’re looking for an analytical, agile and adaptable Test Analyst looking to begin or build upon a career in the Financial Services sector to support us on our journey to becoming the Best and Biggest Digital Insurer in the UK.
Retail Pricing are responsible for developing and delivering Hastings’ street pricing strategy, driving commercial performance whilst ensuring fair customer outcomes. The team of Pricing Technicians are responsible for testing all pricing changes prior to deployment to the live systems. In the Retail Pricing team we work in a fast paced environment to ensure we are able to react quickly to any changes in the market.
Accountabilities
Your remit will include the following:
- Creating test plans with the coverage required for testing execution
- Executing testing required to validate pricing changes have been implemented correctly
- Identifying & raising defects in testing results prior to release
- Co-ordinating change release process
- Analysing & reporting on market & competitor price changes
- Updating price change log with completed price changes
To achieve this you will need to:
- Have an analytical mind set and high attention to detail
- Need to be capable of working independently, accomplishing objectives in a timely manner and work collaboratively to change
- Be a fast learner to understand our systems and how pricing works in the wider business
- Have a sharp focus to spot potential issues impacting both customers & commercial performance
Skills Knowledge & Experience
Essential
- Experience in a similar technical role relating to testing or performing QA tasks
- Understanding of testing principles, processes and procedures
- Ability to manage a busy workload and communicate clearly to a range of stakeholders
- Knowledge of the UK Insurance sector, or another regulated industry
Desirable
- Experience using automated testing solutions
- Experience using SQL/R/Python or coding methods in other languages
- Understanding insurance rating & pricing journey
- Relevant technical or professional qualification
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
