Telematics Governance Executive

We have an exciting opportunity for a Telematics Governance Executive to join us on our journey of continuous improvement to our customer experience at Hastings Direct.

The Telematics Governance Executive will be naturally curious and have a methodical approach to problem solving, who can work efficiently as part of a team to investigate and provide solutions to risks the business may face.

Working in a hybrid working model, we expect you will be in our Bexhill office 1 day a week depending on business/team requirements.

About the role

The role will encompass various governance requirements across the Telematics area. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure our customers have a great experience, with a particular focus on process and procedures oversight, helping to maximise value from a commercial perspective.


  • Support and guidance of telematics line managers and colleagues through the various governance expectations and requirements for the telematics area. Helping to ensure that the standards and expectations are met to a good level
  • Working with the senior operations manager and procurement to support the engagement of telematics suppliers and key internal and external stakeholders
  • Managing the daily tasks associated with the key governance expectations for telematics, to include areas such as risks, conduct, BCP etc.
  • Working with senior operations manager and data operations team leader to review the monthly operations management information, looking for development of information, trends and actions and supporting the circulation of information and findings
  • Manage oversight of telematics invoice and purchase order process, suppliers’ portals, stock control processes and other related operational processes
  • Support Audit process (internal and external) as and when required

  • Be confident in making decisions and take responsibility
  • Good knowledge of MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel
