Senior Commercial Systems Specialist

Job Introduction
The Senior Commercial Systems Specialist will have in-depth knowledge and technical experience of the Media industry and be a subject matter expert across many functional areas. They will also have an in-depth understanding of the technical dependencies between systems. They will be passionate about delivering the best possible products to our customers, have an eye for detail and have an ability to communicate solutions effectively.
As Senior Commercial Systems Specialist, you will;
Help design solutions and products within the Enterprise Technology environment
Drive continuous improvement of our core application which are key business enablers
Work alongside Technical Product team
100% home based (UK & Ireland). We can accommodate office work for those who can commute to our Canary Wharf office.

Role Responsibility
Work with the Commercial Product Team in developing the product roadmap and backlogs for the applications that will help ensure the next generation of applications are robust/well-engineered and aligned with the constraints of cost/capability/available resources.
Work to deliver product goals and objectives that align to the overall business strategy
Play a key role in planning, designing and executing new product development across the full lifecycle, gather customer requirements, explore solutions, develop and validate concepts, create prototypes, build and release applications working with external partners and our technology team
Working into the Senior Product Manager and alongside the Business stakeholders to ensure any product development and design being undertaken adds value using a Demand Management framework: best-practice product management techniques
Seek input from external and internal stakeholders and keeping abreast of industry and cross-industry trends, always learning from others
Identify operational changes that support the creation and delivery of products
Work with project managers where necessary to ensure that they are supported in managing dependencies across other teams and that they cover the breadth of project scope
Ensure all stakeholders are aware of and input into the product roadmap and dependencies

The ideal candidate
In depth knowledge of core applications configuration and interfaces along with dependencies of each system
A domain expert in all aspects of media advertising systems and workflows
Excellent attention to detail, an ability to assimilate, sort and aggregate complex information quickly
Comfortable with ambiguity and making recommendations and decisions with incomplete sets of information
Positive can-do attitude and drive
Good understanding of software development and extensive experience of working with developers and technical architects in systems and solutions design
Effective verbal and written communication skills, able to interact with all levels of audience
Strong teamwork, stakeholder management, coordination, planning and influencing skills
Proven ability to think creatively and to apply analytical and problem solving skills effectively
Self-driven that doesn’t need hands on management, and ability to work at pace
Experienced in undertaking work on the execution side as well as doing the upfront strategic thinking
Knowledge in agile software delivery model and familiarity with Lean product development principles
Knowledge of techniques for requirements capture and specification, the ability to balance tactical and strategic needs and always focus on the customer
