What you’ll be doing
As a Security Analyst you will support the Dental Business Information Security Officer (BISO) as the focal point for effective engagement between Bupa Dental Care and the BUPA Global & UK Information Security Team. This role is designed to provide general assistance to the Dental BISO and other security team members in supporting the Dental business unit with its Information Security.
You will report to the Dental BISO and work closely with the Information Security Team Towers as well as the business to support and operate within the BG&UKMU Business Risk Appetite.
What’s a typical day?
No two days will be the same, there will be a lot of variety and the opportunity to get involved with lots of different facets of Information Security.
You will help build and maintain effective relationships between the Business and Information Security Team including the wider Technology organisation.
This position will support the Dental BISO on a day-to-day basis with administrative, logistical and security-specific tasks. You will facilitate planning, introduction, delivery of Information Security services and initiatives e.g. support compliance activities, security audits, delivery of point services such as vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, application and project risk assessments, 3rd party supplier and customer assessments, business security awareness and education, architecture.
As Security Analyst you will contribute to the design of Information Security services and processes into the Business. You will also support Information Security colleagues in advising stakeholders on how to achieve the relevant controls and assist with solutions.
The successful candidate will support and deliver security initiatives as needed and be in a position to demonstrate and track progress to stakeholders. You’ll help raise the profile of security within the Business through pro-active involvement with stakeholders and customers.
Who we’re looking for?
We’re looking for an ambitious self-starter with a keen interest in Information Security. Knowledge of Cyber, Information Security and Risk Management is desirable but not essential.
Ideally you will have sound knowledge of business and able to demonstrate professionalism, getting buy-in from your peers quickly.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal are a must – this role will involve the writing of reports, documents and communicating effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
You will have a strong desire to learn and develop as a security professional and have good knowledge and experience using MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
Strong analytical skills would be a benefit.
