What you’ll be doing
You will provide and maintain efficient administrative and PACS services for the Diagnostic Imaging Department and ensure that a high-quality service is delivered to patients, staff and Consultant Users. You’ll be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and showing flexibility of shared tasks to ensure that we provide the best quality service in a pleasant environment for both staff and patients.
What’s a typical day?
A typical day will require you to be accountable for the daily PACS service delivery in the clinical environment, in order to ensure the continuity of patient care at all time. This will include the development and maintenance of PACS operational policies and procedures, system audits, handling of complaints and ensuring a close liaison with clinical users and third-party suppliers. You will be the point of call to the IT department when any IT systems within the department has a fault or regarding new equipment and you’ll also be the first line response to all reported PACS hardware and software equipment faults. You’ll be required to liaise with clinical staff, IT, PACS managers and GM’s within and outside radiology with regard to the management of the PACS service issues, service developments and unplanned down time.
